I’m a huge fan of afternoon tea, toilet selfies and posting Instagram pictures, so naturally, I had to get to Sketch at some point.
My pal from Liverpool, Rio Matchett – yeah, you’d love her, came to take advantage of that space I’ve got going on the right side of my bed. She totally tempted me into a trip to Sketch for breakfast. Yep, dragged me kicking and screaming.
We decided to play it cool at first, ordering coconut milk porridge with bananas. It arrived in the most beautiful china bowl, looking too pretty to eat, but obviously, it’s me, so I did.
After some deliberation and a couple of phrases like ‘when in Rome’ and ‘you only live once’, we decided it was only right to try the macaroons. Surprisingly, the early grey was my favourite – not quite as sweet as the others, with a nice complex flavour.
I wore my red mid-length polka-dot dress. I tried very hard to not buy this dress, but it was calling my name every bloody time I saw it in store. It’s quite a summery piece, but with fishnets and DM’s it ‘grunged’ it up a bit, making it more suitable for this time of year.
I have to say, I can totally see what all the fuss is about with this place we call Sketch. If anyone fancies a trip, you know who to call, I’m so down for going again.
Until next time, peace and kisses
